Frontier Airlines is offering a great deal on a fast track to elite status. Whether this is a great deal for you will depend on how well Frontier serves your local airport, but in some cases, I imagine that this could be a very good deal for those who either already have a Frontier Mastercard or who are willing to get one.

Quick Thoughts
Frontier Platinum comes with what could be a valuable set of benefits for those who fly Frontier often, including:
- Free carry-on bag
- 1 free checked bag
- Free Preferred seat at booking
- Free Premium seat at check-in (based on availability)
- Free upgrades to Up Front Plus 12 hours prior to departure (based on availability)
- Pet fee waiver
- Free companion (and this companion can be anyone, no need to name a companion in advance, but the companion must be added at the time of booking; read more in our post from when this benefit went live)
There are a few other miscellaneous benefits, though I suspect that the above could add up to quite a bit for someone who flies Frontier regularly. If you don’t fly Frontier often, then the benefits obviously wouldn’t be worth much to you.
In order to get Platinum status through the end of 2026, you’ll need to earn 12,500 Elite Status Points within 90 days of registering/paying for the fast track offer. The easiest way to do so would be spending on the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard, which earns 1 elite status point per $1 spent. In other words, $12.5K in purchases will earn Platinum status through the end of next year. Platinum status ordinarily requires 50,000 Elite Status Points in a calendar year. This is effectively 1/4 of the spend ordinarily required and 1/4 of the ordinary time frame given to earn it, but you end up with what will potentially be a full year of elite status.
It is worth noting that the Frontier Mastercard comes with up to 2 free checked bags for the primary cardholder, so the free checked bag benefit from Platinum status is redundant for cardholders and as such won’t have any value for those who hold the card (though the other benefits can certainly be valuable, particularly for those who travel with a pet).
Again, this probably wouldn’t be enough to convince someone to get the Frontier card unless they already considered flying Frontier often. However, given the set of benefits, which as of 2025 include free companion travel, I could see this offer being compelling for some.
Keep in mind though that you do not get elite status until you reach the 12,500 ESP requirement, and the $99 registration fee is nonrefundable whether you ultimately meet the requirements or not. The last day to register is December 31, 2025. If your plan is to earn ESPs (Elite Status Points) through credit card spend, and you do not yet have the credit card, I would certainly recommend acquiring the card prior to registration.

Royal Jordanian ended that promo early for U.S. residents, but I imagine it would work otherwise.
