American Express OPEN
The American Express OPEN program is ending on June 1. This gives you 5% back on 1-800 Flowers orders when paying with an eligible American Express business credit card.
Gift Cards
Promo codes (such as the United one for 25 miles per dollar) don’t earn cashback. However, if you have any gift cards from past promotions, those can be used for orders and – unless anything has recently changed – will earn the 26% cashback.
Gift Cards From Discover
One option when redeeming your Discover cashback is to order gift cards. All cards come with an additional bonus, with 1-800 Flowers being one of the most generous.
That gives you a 50% increase on the redeemed amount, so $20 gets you a $30 1-800 Flowers gift card, $40 gets you $60 and $80 gets you $120.

Let’s say you have the Amex Offer on one of your business credit cards. If you were able to spend exactly $50 and paid with that card, your return would look like this:
- $50 spend
- -$13 (Ebates cashback)
- -$15 (Amex Offer)
- -$2.50 (OPEN savings)

Looks like no free shipping perk for you and trying to deliver on short notice or special delivery premium day. Not well stacked.
Can you buy a 1800Flowers Gift Card on the 1800Flowers Site via Ebates and still get the 26% and use the AMEX Offer?
I’m not 100% sure if you’d be able to double dip. I know 1-800 Flowers has been cracking down on awarding gift card purchases, so I don’t think you’d earn 26% when buying the gift card, but you should earn the 26% when redeeming it.
How about if I have a Savings Pass Code from 1800Flowers for $20, will that void the Ebates Cashback if I use it?
In theory it would as the Ebates terms state “Cash Back is not available when using coupons/promotional codes not found on Ebates”. In reality though, that might not be the case and you might still be able to earn the 26% cashback.
This is an ok deal if you need the flowers delivered. If you don’t need delivery, you’re probably better off going to Costco and picking up some flowers. The only 1800flowers deal that I’m interested in is getting 1750 Southwest miles with the AmEx offer stacking. Sadly, there hasn’t been a 1750 Southwest offer showing up for this Mother’s Day.
