The Deal

  • Newegg.com is selling a $50 Best Western gift card for $42.50. Stack that with card-linked offers for Newegg and/or a good category bonus for an even better deal.
  • Direct link to this deal

Key Terms

  • Can be redeemed at any BWH Hotel Group branded hotel that accepts the Travel Card as payment
  • “Send as Gift” Function Available Upon Receive of the Gift Card
  • Customizable Name and Personal Message
  • Print Card or Store to Google Pay / Apple Wallet

Quick Thoughts

The one caution I’d note with this deal is that it says the following about these cards — the bold is mine for emphasis:

  • Can be redeemed at any BWH Hotel Group branded hotel that accepts the Travel Card as payment

That’s obviously not the same as saying that these cards are valid at any Best Western hotel. You therefore might want to call ahead to be sure that your chosen property accepts the Travel Card as payment.

If they do, this could be a good opportunity for stacking. There are current Amex Offers and Citi Merchant Offers for Newegg that should be triggered with a purchase like this. Furthermore, Newegg is a qualifying electronics goods retailer on the American Express Business Gold card. If electronics goods retailers are one of your top two spending categories for the billing cycle, you could earn 4x Membership Rewards points on your Newegg purchases.

The discount here could certainly be worth considering if you have Best Western stays coming up.

Thanks for the tip. Is it only the 50 dollar denominations? Not the larger denominations? Looked around and that seems to be the case.
