Giftcards.com is running another sale on virtual Visa gift cards this week, with this latest one giving $5 off $100 cards. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s going to be as rewarding as might be hoped for as shopping portals are unlikely to pay out.
The Deal
- Buy $100 virtual Visa gift cards from Giftcards.com & get $5 off when using the following promo codes:
- SPOOKY5
- SCARY5
- Direct link to offer.
Key Terms
- Promo codes valid 10/31/2023 – 11/06/2023 for 5% off the purchase of up to $300 worth of Visa Virtual Gift Accounts from Giftcards.com while supplies last.
- Maximum value $15.
- Excludes Giftcards.com for Business orders.
- Promo codes are one-time use codes and can not be combined with other offers.
Quick Thoughts
These virtual Visa gift cards come with a $5.95 purchase fee, so the promo code knocks that fee down to $0.95.
Ordinarily that might still be of interest for people due to the ability to earn rewards or cashback through a shopping portal, especially now that Giftcards.com is once again available through airline shopping portals. However, Giftcards.com sent out an email to affiliates this morning letting them know that commission wouldn’t be payable on orders utilizing the promo codes SPOOKY5 and SCARY5 which likely means that portals won’t be offering rewards or cashback on those orders either. Paying $0.95 per card and not earning any portal rewards therefore greatly limits the appeal of this latest offer, but some might still find it worthwhile. If you do buy cards from this sale, click through from a shopping portal anyway just in case it does track and pay out.
CFF also has Paypal as a 5x category right now, might be worth it for that.
