Decent gift card deals post-holiday season tend to be few and far between, but if you live near an H-E-B store there are half a dozen gift card deals for travel brands that could be of interest.

H-E-B Gift Card Deal 01.05.22

The Deal

Key Terms

  • Expires January 11, 2022.
  • Limit 1 per brand.

Quick Thoughts

H-E-B is a Texas grocery store chain and so much of the country geography-wise won’t be able to take advantage of these offers, but with almost 30 million people living in the Lone Star state a lot of people will be close enough to their stores to buy one or more of these gift cards.

If you’re someone who shops at H-E-B anyway and values their gift cards as good as cash, you’re effectively getting a 16.67% discount on these gift cards. That’s an excellent discount for brands like Airbnb, Delta and Southwest and it’s nice that these deals are for $150 denominations rather than the $25-$50 denominations normally used for H-E-B’s gift card deals.

One thing to bear in mind is that you could be giving up travel protections by paying with gift cards, but with up to a 16.67% discount and bonused spend on a card earning more at grocery stores, it could be worth it for personal use and almost certainly for gift card resellers.
