Quick Thoughts
This FedEx Shipping Amex Offer is targeted and, based on the cards my wife and I found it on, seems to be focused on business cards.
If you use FedEx to ship items already, this offer will be money in the bank. With a limit of $1,000 in statement credits, you’ll max it out when spending $2,000 which won’t be hard for some businesses and product resellers.
Even if you don’t normally use FedEx to ship items, getting 50% back in statement credits could make that a more viable choice than whatever you currently use for shipping.
Seeing as this is a card-linked offer based on spend with FedEx Shipping, it will stack with other discounts you might get when paying FedEx directly. For example, Capital One Spring has a FedEx Shipping offer giving 45% off FedEx Express Service and 25% off FedEx Ground Services. I’m not sure if those are legit savings via Capital One Spring or if they’re available for anyone opening a FedEx Business account, but that could be worth investigating too. Capital One Spring is open to anyone – it’s free to join and you don’t have to be a Capital One cardholder to register.
does this offer work for international shipping, like to China?
“FedEx International Priority, FedEx International Economy, FedEx International Priority”
Would this void eligibility for Amazon A to Z claim protection? I think so.
I got the 30% off up to $1,200 offer on my Lowe’s AMEX. Had same offer previous 6 months of last year. I’m happy. 🙂
Holy crap – this is fantastic. Slightly different offer for me: 30% back up to $1200 before June 30, but I’ll hit that in a month. Free money, thanks for the heads up.
Aaaaaaaaaand my wife got the 50% up to $1000 on her Biz Gold card which we use for business expenses as well. This one post is literally going to save our business $2200 with almost zero effort. Many thanks again.
That’s awesome – I’m glad you’re able to put it to good use 🙂
These offers seem to always pop up on my AmEx biz cards on a bi-annual basis (one for shipping, one for freight, and one for FedEx Office stores) with the percent back fluctuating between 10% and 40% on a seemingly random basis. I’ve never not had an FedEx shipping Amex biz offer for as long as I can remember, but the amount back always varies.
I had 40% for the second half of last year. Now I have 10% for the first half of this year. I don’t think I’ve ever seen 50% but that would be pretty awesome.
P2 and I got 30% back on our Biz Hilton cards.
30% back up to $1200 on FedEx Shipping.
Second offer of 10% back on FedEx Freight, up to $1000.
Both on same card.
Stephen or any folks,
do fedex sell GCs?
FedEx Office stores sell gift cards, but FedEx Office store purchases won’t be triggered by a FedEx shipping purchase. You’d need a FedEx Office-specific offer – those are also pretty common on AmEx biz cards in my experience, but the amount back varies.
I got an offer for 10% back, up to $1,000 on my personal Platinum card. But it seems to be for just FedEx Freight.
