Hyatt promo: Double points, extra savings & free breakfast (depending on region)

Hyatt is running a promotion that’s offering extra savings, extra points and/or extra food depending on the region you’ll be visiting. The double points promo in the Americas seems to be a decent offer as it’s offering those extra points with a good cancellation policy that doesn’t seem to be any more expensive than rates with similar cancellation periods.

Quick Thoughts

I came across this promo randomly last night while doing some searches for a stay in the spring. This double points rate was in fact the cheapest available rate – even cheaper than the member rate. The cancellation policy is slightly different, but only by one day.

At a different property the double points rate isn’t the very cheapest rate, but it’s not far off and it is the cheapest rate which isn’t non-refundable.

If you’ll be visiting Europe, Africa or the Middle East, getting free breakfast could provide significant savings if you don’t have Globalist status. For example, the Hyatt Regency London Stratford is bookable for £162 (~$199) per night from March 4-8, 2024. Not only is that the cheapest available rate, but it comes with free breakfast and a flexible cancellation rate.

The terms of the offer state that you can use promo code STAYNOW, but these promotional rates seem to show up even when not using that promo code. That said, it doesn’t do any harm entering it anyway.
