We just had a very nice two night stay at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor. This isn’t at all a luxury hotel, but for a conference hotel they do a number of things right.
We checked in with mid-tier Hyatt Explorist status (thanks to this trick). I had tried to apply a club access award to the stay, but had been told by Hyatt Concierge on Twitter that the upgrades couldn’t be applied to conference rates. Bummer. But, upon check-in I asked again, and they upgraded us to club access for free. Awesome. They also upgraded us to a harbor view room. I also appreciated that they proactively offered 2pm late checkout.

The Regency Club was small, but the service was great. We enjoyed the food too. As with most (all?) Regency Clubs, they offered breakfast in the morning; canapés along with beer & wine from 5 to 7; and dessert at 8. Other than the dessert (which we didn’t try), the food was all very good. I especially liked the mini breakfast burritos.
On checkout day, we had a very late flight out so I sheepishly asked if it was possible to extend our checkout until 4pm. The response? “Done.” Great service.
This is a category 3 Hyatt, which means that it costs 12,000 Hyatt points per night. You can also book a room with Regency Club access for 17,000 points, or a suite for 20,000 points.

SRCD?
Just stayed there and was less than impressed. Housekeeping left our door open all day long 🙁 It also seemed quite tired and like they attempted to upgrade the hotel, but the 1970s was still there below the veneer.
I wish I’d known you were there. I lived in Balmer 1992-94. Just about 5 blocks south of that hotel. Have some GREAT recommendations.
Please share anyway! I’m sure other readers would appreciate it.
