IHG Business Rewards has opened registration for its latest promotion, once again awarding double points when booking stays for others, in addition to the rewards they’ll earn themselves.

Key Terms
- To be eligible for the IHG Business Rewards 2X Points offer (“Offer”), a person must be an IHG Business Rewards member, which includes acceptance of the IHG Business Rewards Programme Terms and Conditions, and the member must have registered for the Offer.
- By clicking “Register now” in connection with the promotional materials for the Offer, a member is registering for the Offer and agreeing to these terms and conditions. Once an IHG Business Rewards member has registered for the Offer, the member can earn double (2X) the IHG One Rewards points on Qualifying Spend for stays, meetings and/or events that are booked during the period from 1 May 2026 until 31 August 2026 (“Booking Period”) and completed during the period from 1 May 2026 until 31 December 2026 (“Offer Period”).
- The time needed for awarding points can vary with each promotional offer, so please allow up to 6 weeks for any earned bonus points to be posted to the recipient’s account.
- For this Offer, earning “2X” or “2X points” or “double points” on stays or events booked and completed within the applicable periods as set forth above means the total number of regular “base points” and promotional “bonus points” combined will equal two (2) times the base IHG One Rewards points the member would normally receive just for being an IHG Business Rewards member. Therefore, under the Offer, a member can earn three (3) base points for every $1 USD of Qualifying Spend and an additional three (3) bonus points for every $1 USD of Qualifying Spend, for a total of six (6) points for each $1 USD. The three (3) base points earned are considered Elite Qualifying Points that count towards IHG One Rewards Elite Status. The three (3) bonus points awarded as part of the Offer are Non-Elite Qualifying Points under the IHG One Rewards programme.
- Points awarded under this Offer are based on Qualifying Spend within the Offer Period only. While there is no limit on the number of stays, meetings, or events that may be booked under the Offer, there is a maximum of 120,000 total points (which is the amount that would be awarded for $20,000 in Qualifying Spend) that can be earned on any one qualifying stay, meeting and/or event covered by this Offer, including all guest room bookings and other Qualifying Spend linked to such stay, meeting and/or event. Spend for stays, meetings and/or events that were booked outside of the Booking Period or that were not completed within the Offer Period will not qualify for 2X points under this Offer.
Quick Thoughts
IHG Business Rewards normally offers 3 points per dollar, so this double points promotion means you’ll earn 6 points per dollar.
Those 6 points per dollar you’ll earn are in addition to the standard points that the person staying will earn, including the bonus points from IHG’s new promotion on the personal side. Unfortunately you can’t double dip the points for yourself, but if your partner is registered under your IHG Business Rewards profile or vice versa, that’s a way for your household to earn both the 10X base points on the personal side and the 6X from this promotion. Y’know, for people whose partners are also their employees 😉
With past 2X IHG Business Rewards promotions, IHG has sometimes also awarded bonus elite night credits, but that’s not the case with this latest offer.
