A new limited-time offer has launched exclusively for Amazon Prime members: Get an instant $250 Amazon gift card upon approval for the Amazon Prime Visa. This card is issued by Chase, so it may be subject to the 5/24 rule. This one might make sense for frequent Amazon or Whole Foods shoppers since this card offers 5% back on both.

Quick Thoughts
This is the best deal I recall ever seeing for the Amazon Prime Visa. The fact that it requires no minimum purchase amount and is awarded instantly will surely make this offer popular, particularly given the holiday shopping season.
And this isn’t a bad card to have long-term if you’re a frequent Amazon shopper. Getting 5% back on Amazon purchases and occasional increased rewards offers in specific categories or on specific products can make for some great deals. Since my family shops on Amazon all the time, I would be tempted by this offer if not for the fact that I already have the business version (which is issued by American Express). Some folks will point out that you can potentially do even better by purchasing Amazon gift cards elsewhere in situations where you can earn rewards worth more than 5% back. I’ve never taken that approach due to a lack of desire to track it and a lack of credit card purchase protections. I’m happy enough earning a flat 5% back (which has added up over the past couple of years). Keep in mind that you also get 5% back at Whole Foods and Chase Travel with this card.
Obviously, there are more rewarding welcome bonus offers on the market, but this one certainly could make sense for frequent Amazon shoppers.

We put alot on amazon so 5x and the 250 back is an easy decision. Prob should have done a while ago! Yes no MR but i also have just a bit of those!!!
If you were to guess, would team points and miles out number team cash back? Points-and-miles people talk about flights like they’re planning a moon landing: Cashback people just stare at them. Points folks hoard spreadsheets, whisper alliance charts like ancient prophecy, and chase status for lounge access. Cashback folks drink cold brew they bought with actual money and say things like, “Freedom is paying the statement balance and never thinking about married segments.” And honestly… both sides think the other is a little crazy.
