Avianca LifeMiles is offering 3x miles for hotel bookings. The last time they ran a similar promotion, it was with a slightly better offer (5x miles — see: [Dead] HOT deal: 5x LifeMiles with hotel bookings (30K on $390 booking), but it sold out in just a few hours. Today’s promotion (valid 12/5/18 only) started at 10am EST and ends at 10pm EST — though I doubt it will last that long.

- Get 3x Avianca LifeMiles when you book hotels through LifeMiles, 12/5/18 only from 10am to 10pm EST or when this runs out, which will likely be sooner

Key Terms
- Valid for bookings made on December 5th, 2018 between 10:00 AM EST and 10:00 PM EST (Twelve hours only) or until the maximum miles available for the promotion of 4,400,000 is reached, whichever happens first.
- Valid to stay between December 6th, 2018 and February 28th, 2019.
- The bonus will be awarded upon check out
- Promotional Bonus cannot exceed the maximum bonus amount of 200,000 (two hundred thousand) LifeMiles per reservation.
- If the reservation is cancelled, bonus miles will not be awarded to the customer.
- The promotional offers above cannot be combined and cannot be applied to existing bookings or retroactively applied to bookings not made using the link above.
- Miles accrued under this promotion are not valid to obtain or maintain the LifeMiles Elite Status.
- Miles will be accrued on the members account entered when paying for the reservation, no later than fifteen (15) business days after the stay has been completed and if all conditions have been met.
- LifeMiles Hotels reserves the right to retract a bonus at any time if it detects technical errors, cancel/rebooking activity (defined by identical search criteria), or any deceptive behavior attempted to circumvent the limits expressed above including multiple accounts.
- Miles will be credited in two steps: One (01) for the accrual of LifeMiles that is normally awarded through LifeMiles Hotels (1X), depending on the chosen hotel and one (01) credit for the additional 2X LifeMiles awarded due to this promotion.
- Transactions made hotels.lifemiles.com are made with Rocketmiles and the terms and conditions of such site shall apply.
Quick Thoughts
While I’m not seeing quite the stunning values we saw last time, there are still great deals to be had if you need to book any stays during the promo period. For instance, here’s the Marriott Magnificant Mile next Wednesday night:
While it’s not worth booking that hotel just for the miles since you’d be paying around $0.02 per mile (and Avianca regularly sells miles for around 1.4 cents each through promos), it’s an incredible return if you happen to actually need to stay there.
Last time, some folks found outliers that offered really impressive return. Keep in mind that bookings through this promotion are handled through Rocketmiles (but note that you must book through the dedicate site linked to under “The Deal”, not Rocketmiles.com), so stays most likely will not earn elite credit, points, or grant access to elite benefits. Still, at 12K per night in miles earned, that likely washes away those benefits. Also keep in mind that a single reservation can’t earn more than 200K miles. Finally, they are capping this at 4,400,000 bonus miles. If people cap it out at 200K miles per booking, this won’t last very long.
