MastercardGiftCard.com deals usually waive the purchase fee which makes the eGift card versions an at-cost purchase. With this new deal though, if you buy the digital cards you could make a small profit.
$200 cards come with a $4.95 purchase fee, so buying those means you’ll make a $5.05 profit before accounting for any liquidation costs. Some might prefer to buy $500 cards for the additional spending (and thus credit card reward earning) potential, even though the purchase fees on $500 cards are $6.95, so a couple of bucks higher than the $200 cards.
Do note though that that’s the math when buying digital cards. If you buy physical cards (perhaps for easier liquidation), you’ll have to pay shipping fees in addition to the purchase fees mentioned above.
