A few overlapping Wyndham promotions and a Platinum credit card perk add up to a compelling two-night stay that could cost as little as $90 out of pocket, but would include a $100 property credit, a room upgrade, daily breakfast for two, and over 30,000 Wyndham points. For most readers, this will be more of a thought exercise than a realistic opportunity. To make this work, you’ll need to be in France before the end of the year. Additionally, you’ll need a Wyndham credit or debit card, Wyndham Diamond status, and an American Express Platinum card with an unused $300 hotel credit.
Wyndham Promos
This deal requires stacking two Wyndham promos (and you must register for each). To maximize these promos you’ll need a Wyndham credit or debit card and Wyndham Diamond status:
- Earn 7.5k bonus points when staying 2 nights (up to 4 times): Wyndham cardholders get an extra 7.5K on the first 2 nights stayed during the promo. So, a single two-night stay would earn a cardholder 15,000 bonus points. Must register and book by January 16, 2026 and complete qualifying nights by January 20, 2026.
- Wyndham is giving a status upgrade for all members, or 50x earnings for existing Diamond members: It’s the 50x earnings that are interesting here. You must have Wyndham Diamond status to register for the 50x part of the deal. Must register and book direct by Dec. 30, 2025.
I suspect that many readers have a Wyndham credit card and Diamond status, as we’ve often written about the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card, which offers Diamond status among other benefits.
The Hotel Collection
I wanted to see if it was possible to stack two excellent Wyndham promos with Amex’s hotel credits. American Express Platinum cards offer up to $300 back every six months for eligible prepaid bookings with Fine Hotels + Resorts® or The Hotel Collection. I checked both platforms and found a small collection of Wyndham hotels available through The Hotel Collection. I didn’t find any Wyndhams available through Fine Hotels + Resorts.
I checked each of the Wyndham properties available through The Hotel Collection to see if any were available for two nights before the end of this year for around $300. The only one that nearly met that goal was Dolce By Wyndham Versailles. While multiple inexpensive dates are available, I ran my numbers assuming a stay from December 21 to 23. On those dates, it’s possible to book two nights at the hotel through The Hotel Collection for $352.10, paid to Amex, plus $39.28 due at the property.
The Math
- Amount charged to an Amex Platinum card: $352.10
- Earn 5x Amex points = 1,760 Membership Rewards points
- Get $300 back from the Platinum hotel credit
- Wyndham promos
- 7.5K promo plus cardholder 7.5K = 15,000 Wyndham points
- Earn 50x + 20% Diamond accelerator (2x): $320.10 x 52 = 16,645 Wyndham points
- Total: 31,645 Wyndham points
- Hotel resort fee
- Pay $39.28 with the Wyndham Business Earner card to earn 8 points per dollar = 314 additional Wyndham points
- Total out of pocket: $52.10 + $39.28 = $91.38
- Point earnings:
- 1,760 Amex Membership Rewards points
- 31,959 Wyndham points
- Hotel benefits:
- $100 property credit
- Room upgrade
- Free breakfast (Note: The Hotel Collection doesn’t guarantee complimentary breakfast, but it is offered as a benefit at this property)
Conclusion
There’s a unique opportunity to stack deals to get both a great two-night stay and a ton of points for less than $100 out of pocket. Unfortunately, I doubt the logistics would work for many readers! Also, there’s a real chance that The Hotel Collection booking won’t trigger all of the Wyndham promotions described above.
If you’re willing to risk it, but want something closer to home, the next best option I found was the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach. That hotel is sometimes available for two nights for as little as $634.
