Quick Thoughts
This Delta Amex Offer appears to be highly targeted. Both my wife and I received it, although only on American Express Business Platinum accounts. If you have the offer on a personal Platinum account that’d be better, as you’ll then also earn 5x Membership Rewards.
The terms specifically state that gift cards are excluded, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. I loaded the offer to my card this morning and purchased a $300 Delta gift card. An email confirming I’d used the offer appeared in my inbox immediately, so you should be good to go.
If you’re a gift card reseller, this could be a profitable deal depending on your reselling relationships. If not, it’s still a good way to get up to 20% off Delta flights.
