Air France / KLM Flying Blue has recently released their new “promo awards” for the month of July. To take advantage of the special pricing on these awards, you would need to book by July 31st for travel in September and October. As a reminder, Flying Blue is a transfer partner of Amex Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, and Citi Thank you points, making it very easy to put together the points for one of these awards.
The following are discounted rates available between North America and Europe:
As is often the case, the best value in the Flying Blue chart is that Tel Aviv, Israel is included in the definition of Europe, meaning that business class between Calgary or Toronto and Tel Aviv is only 46,875 miles each way – a steal compared to what other programs would charge (even though Flying Blue imposes moderate fuel surcharges).
Intra-European flights can also be a deal. The following rates indicate prices to/from these cities and the rest of Europe (including Tel Aviv):
Flights within Europe can be cheap, but those rates will definitely be deals on certain routes, and it would be hard to beat 6,800 miles between some of those cities and Tel Aviv. If you’re interested in visiting Israel, Flying Blue Promo Awards often present one of the cheapest ways to get there on miles.
There are also a number of routes between Europe and Asia on sale, including several in premium economy as well as flights to and from Saint Martin. Check out the Flying Blue Promo Award page for more detail.
