Keep in mind that clicking through Rakuten still brings you to book directly with the hotel, so you’ll still get elite credit, hotel points, and any associated elite benefits since you will be booking direct. Clicking through Rakuten just increases your return on spend.
There’s no end date listed for these increased cashback/Membership Rewards rates, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended tonight and so it’d be worth making your reservation(s) ASAP if you want to take advantage of them.

Any chance this stacks with the point buying offer? If I click through Rakuten to IHG, then to buy points, would it trigger?
No. If you’re looking to buy with the 100% bonus or whatever, those buy points transactions are processed by Points.com, not by IHG. You could click through a portal to Points.com to buy points (but the return is usually 1-2% on Points.com).
Word of Caution….I had a stay from last October through Rakuten and IHG still has not paid out. Rakuten kept telling me to wait the 3 month period. And now they are reaching out to IHG….

Yes, it should just show as pending until after you check out of your stay in June.
