Update 11/26/21: Dell is now at 15x / 15% cash back (was 12x yesterday)

Shopping portal Rakuten is offering increased cash back rates at many stores today including 15x at Dell and 15x at Saks Fifth Avenue, Samsung, and 12x or more at many other stores.

The Deal

  • Shopping portal Rakuten is offering 12% back / 12x Membership Rewards points or more at many popular retailers today

If you’re new to Rakuten

At the time of writing, Rakuten is offering a $40 bonus for new customers who sign up this week and spend $40 or more within the first 90 days. Spending in-store with card-linked offers counts. If you’re new to Rakuten and you’d like to sign up, feel free to use the Frequent Miler referral link with our thanks:

Quick Thoughts

Be sure to use Cashbackmonitor to compare rates as they may not be the best deal in all situations. Keep in mind that Rakuten won’t be the only portal offering increased rates. The Wyndham Rewards portal in particular has some very high rates if you like Wyndham points for things like Vacasa vacation rentals.

That said, 15x at Dell will stack nicely with the Business Platinum card benefit and several Amex Offers for Dell and 15x at Saks stacks well with the consumer Platinum card benefit.

Be sure to check the terms for individual stores. While Samsung is offering 15x on laptops and mobile phones via Rakuten, TVs and Home Theater are only 2x.

will buying xbox gift cards on dell.com still allow for 10-11% cashback on sites like rakuten/topcashback, even though fine print specifically excludes such purchases?

my plan was to buy these egift cards using my biz plat dell $200 credit and then use them on msft store.

nik

I went to dell through topcashback and it did not trigger my Amex offer. I checked and there are two stores Dell and Dell technologies. The first goes to deals.dell.com and the second goes to dell.com. The second is the one that triggers the Amex offers (I think.) The first one did not do it for me.

FYI

nik

My charges went pending immediately. Also the prices on deals.dell.com and dell.com are different for the same laptop.

Don’t forget to see if you have a $120 off $599+ Amex offer sitting on one of your cards. Makes for a phenomenal stack, thanks for the update Nick!

Wow, what a win! Triggered 2 Amex offers on my Business Plat (10% back and $200 off $800), plus $200 Dell credit, plus 22,500 MR points, not to mention a kickass computer I was going to buy anyway! Thanks Nick! I knew there was a reason why I love the FM!
