Living Social’s Restaurants Plus dining program is offering a great deal on dining through Sunday.

Check your email for this (possibly targeted) offer:

Summer may be over, but we’ve got something that’ll cheer you up! Dine out at your favorite Restaurants Plus spots and get up to $15 cashback PER DAY, today through Sunday.

Key Terms

  • Get 100% cashback, up to a maximum of $15, per day.
  • Use your Restaurants Plus Activated Card at participating restaurants from September 22, 2016 through 11:59 p.m. PT on September 25, 2016 (during dining hours), and get a one-time statement credit for 100% cashback, up to $15, for your first transaction every day (EXCLUDING TAX AND TIP).
  • This credit will hit your account in next month’s payout.
  • Eligible for enrolled users as of September 15, 2016 ONLY.
  • Limit one reward per day.
  • Offer good for dine-in experience only.

This offer appears to be automatic and as far as I know it was sent out to all users. I do not believe it was targeted, but it is possible that it was.

Limited Cities

As a reminder, Restaurants Plus is currently live in:

  • Atlanta
  • Los Angeles
  • San Diego
  • San Francisco
  • Washington, D.C

The program provides a rebate on your credit card for dining at participating restaurants. I covered the details of the program previously.

Signing-Up

If you have never used Restaurants Plus, you can receive $20 back after your first dine by using someone’s referral link. Here is the Frequent Miler referral link.  But please note that this weekend’s deal will not apply since it required enrollment as of September 15th.

Anyone receive the bonus yet? If so, let us know whether or not you were specifically targeted for the offer.

PH

I think these are targeted. A couple of weeks ago R+ targeted me for something like bonus to bring cashback to $20 at four specific restaurants in San Francisco. I did receive the announcement email from R+ for the current weekend’s promotion and have already gotten the bonus cashback for three restaurants thus far and am planning to hit a 4th tomorrow to max out the promo.

Cali

PH, did your email have a link to the official RPlus offer that you could post here? Or would you have a link to a photo of the email itself (minus your address, of course)?

Since the terms say “Eligible for enrolled users as of September 15, 2016,” I think it can be argued that all existing users prior to 9/15 can receive the cashback even if they didn’t get the email. Having a copy of the official promo would make it easier to work with customer service.

Cali

Can someone post a picture of the e-mail or an official link to the LivingSocial site regarding this promo? Thanks in advance.

mike

I didn’t receive the email and tried it anyway. I see the cashback posted but it don’t see any mention of 100% cash back. Maybe it will post next month but I think this was a targeted offer….

Adam

Pretty sure this is targeted, as I just received a different offer for 100% up to $10 for one specific restaurant in DC ths weekend.

Chuck

No email on this for neither my wife or myself. We are on the edge of the SF-Bay area with some decent options to use, probably will give it a go and see what happens.

Chuck

Doesn’t seem to have been targetted, wife and I both received up to $15 friday and saturday even though neither of us received the email. SF-Bay area.

winnie

I just used the Frequent Miler referral link to sign up. I don’t see $20 credit though.

HC

Signed up but there are only 2 restaurants in my neighborhoods (out of dozens). This seems as useful as the frequent flyer dining networks (which is to say, pretty useless).

Rest

Did it work for non-targeted folks?

Justin

I didn’t receive this offer either. I live in LA. I will try to eat at a Restaurants Plus place anyway to see if it works.

Jordan L

Didn’t receive an email, have used rest+ and am in the target area. 🙁

Jack

Neither did I. It could be targeted.
