Quick Thoughts
Costco has been offering a regular 10% discount on $500 Southwest gift cards for quite some time, but this Sam’s Club offer is even better at 14% off. An added benefit of Sam’s Club offers (as compared to Costco) is that gift card purchases from will sometimes track through shopping portals, so the ending discount might be even better. Note that when you pay for a flight booking with gift cards only, you’ll forgo travel protections that can come with credit cards, something to bear in mind given Southwest’s foibles last year.

Oddly enough Costco just had essentially the same deal, but Costco did it in the form of an additional $20 credit per card up to 2.
I purchased 2 for $899.98, and received a $40 credit.
I purchased a few last week at $450, saw this deal and contacted Sam’s Club via chat. They were able to refund me the $20 a piece difference! Not sure how far back they’ll price match but worth a shot.
