Sapphire Lounge by The Club at LGA

5

Yesterday, on our way to livin’ the Dunkin’ dream, Nick and I had a chance to visit the Sapphire Lounge at LGA (LaGuardia Airport). It was excellent! The lounge offers unlimited visits to anyone with a J.P. Morgan Reserve card, Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card, Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ Card, or The Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card. Also, anyone with any kind of Priority Pass membership can visit once per year. The lounge is located in Terminal B which makes it convenient for most travelers except those flying Delta (Terminal C), or Spirit (Terminal A). Sadly, those other terminals are not connected airside to Terminal B.

Decor

I arrived much earlier than Nick so I had a chance to wander around and take photos. The lounge is very attractive!

Food

The lounge offers both tableside menu service and buffet dining. Each table has a QR code which lets you order food to the table. That’s a nice feature, but the buffet offers a lot more variety. I helped myself to a little of almost everything from both the menu and the buffet, and enjoyed it all!

Spa

The lounge features a spa with free 15 minute facials. Simply scan the QR code at any table and schedule your service. This was my first ever facial. I found it super relaxing and will definitely do it again on future visits if they’re not booked up during the time I’m in the lounge.

Parting thoughts

It’s awesome to see credit card issuers one-upping each other with better and better airport lounges! Amex has their Centurion Lounges, Capital One has their namesake lounges, and now Chase is building out their Sapphire lounges. It’s a great trend which can make time spent at airports much more enjoyable, relaxing, and tasty. For anyone who flies out of LaGuardia terminal B often, holding a Sapphire Reserve or Ritz card for unlimited access to the Sapphire Lounge makes a ton of sense.

Was there over the New Year on the way home to LA. It’s such a lovely, modernistic lounge. I missed the one in JFK a couple wk ago due to my flight being in different terminal – was disappointed that I couldn’t visit the JFK one, but will do that someday!

I also really enjoyed the spa experience. It was really relaxing and provided a fun way to spend time in lounge.

Another unique fact about Chase Sapphire lounge was they had someone walking around at all times cleaning/picking up trash. The lounge was kept very clean and neat.

One thing to note: there is no to-go food available if someone was in a hurry

Unless you bring your own boxes 😉 we visited the Sapphire lounge at BOS today. One of our favs. Hopefully they build more. The one at PHX is dreadful comparatively.

There is a value to lounge access such as what you have experienced. I find it amusing that when evaluating any of the various credit cards, some people’s analysis focuses on zeroing out the annual fee with statement credits. And, no value is given to lounge access or the food consumed. Absolutely absurd.

Agree. An outstanding lounge is difficult to find, but makes a world of difference.
