Quick Thoughts

For anyone looking to book Delta flights in the next few months, this could be a very useful offer, especially seeing as it’s valid on $500+ of cumulative spend through Amex Travel, not just on one flight.

Based on the description of the offer, it looks like it’s only available on personal Platinum and Centurion cards. In terms of Platinum cards, it might only be available on the vanilla version of the card; my wife has both the vanilla Platinum and the Schwab Platinum card and it only appeared on the vanilla. Having said that, it’s worth checking all your cards just in case.

As mentioned at the start of the post, be aware of the two pertinent dates for this offer. You can book flights by July 31, 2025 for travel through the end of the schedule to take advantage of this spending offer, but you have to enroll in the Amex Offer by April 25.

Stephen:

FWIW, as a random DP, I was able to add the Delta offer to my Charles Schwab personal Platinum card.
Thanks for the heads up on this one.

Geoff

When you book through Amex Travel, is it like booking through an OTA, or does it transact as booking directly with Delta, since Amex and Delta have a special relationship?

Dan

I believe it’s treated as an OTA like with Chase or Capital One. That said, you should receive a Delta confirmation number and become able to fully manage the booking on Delta.com including any changes or upgrade purchases. You will also receive the same number of MQDs and redeemable miles as if you had booked directly at Delta.com.

I’m never clear. Total $500 in a single transaction, or can multiple Delta bookings all booked through Amex Travel aggregate to $500 to get the rebate?

OK – it says in “one or more” Delta … missed the fine print there.
