Update 9/9 – These Chase offers were originally scheduled to expire on 9/9 or 9/10, but they’ve now been extended to 9/24, adding a couple of extra weeks to use them.

There’s a new, targeted Hyatt Place Chase Offer out which is giving 15% back when spending at least $100 for a stay. While it doesn’t have a particularly high spending limit, there’s a way around that if you’ve been lucky enough to have been targeted for this offer on more than one card.

Hyatt Place Ocean City Maryland World of Hyatt Hotel
Hyatt Place Ocean City, MD

The Deal

  • Get 15% back on your Hyatt Place stay when you spend $100 or more with a targeted Chase Offer.

Key Terms

  • Expires September 24, 2022.
  • Maximum $38 back.
  • Offer valid one time only.
  • Payment must be made directly with the merchant.
  • Offer only valid at domestic Hyatt Place properties.
  • Offer not valid at other Hyatt hotels.

Quick Thoughts

The limit of $38 back means that you’ll max out this offer when spending $253.33 on room rate and room charges. That isn’t a particularly high limit if you happen to be have a more expensive stay booked at a Hyatt Place, but there could be a solution.

Unlike Amex Offers where you can only load an offer to one card, Chase allows you to load and redeem Chase Offers on more than one card provided you’ve been targeted for the offer on multiple cards. You could therefore ask a hotel to split the cost of your stay across 2+ cards to ensure you earn more than $38 back in statement credits.

If you don’t have a Hyatt Place stay planned before the expiry date of this offer, you should be able to buy a physical Hyatt gift card from a front desk to lock in the 15% discount provided you can find a property that sells gift cards.

Note that “offer valid one time only” (per card). I had a cheap stay at half the max payout, and planned to do it twice on same card until I read carefully. Fortunately, switched to second card on which I had the HP offer, so I ended up with $38 back across two cards on two cheap nights.

After that was done, at least one HH offer showed up. When cash rates are tempting, these are free money.

I got this offer on my WOH card. My 5 night stay was split into 4 charges, one of which was for two nights. The offer was only applied to one of the one night charges. Super frustrating!

Frank

My wife got both Place and House on her Hyatt card. Doubt she can use them.

Brant

Very important distinction! There are offers for Hyatt Place and Hyatt house. Watch it!!!

Mike

Was excited when I saw this as I have an upcoming Hyatt place stay next week. Lo and behold I see the offer on my WOH card, but it’s for Hyatt house!

DSK

Got it for Hyatt House not Hyatt Place. Showed up on CSR and not Hyatt credit card. Of course my upcoming stay is at a Hyatt Place and not a Hyatt House.

Jimmy

Same here. It’s a pretty dumb algorithm that puts a Hyatt offer on another card when Chase knows you have a Hyatt Visa.

Dee

I got this offer on both of my Freedom Flex card. One FF also had the same offer for Hyatt House as well. I wish my local Hyatts sold gift cards.
