Thanks to three limited time deals, it’s currently possible to earn 16% cashback plus 9 Membership Rewards per dollar when shopping at Sephora.com. If you’ve prefer to shop in-store, you can still earn 12% cashback and 9 Membership Rewards per dollar – here’s how.

If you weren’t targeted for the Sephora Amex Offer, there’s a targeted Chase Offer that can save you up to 26% instead.

Sephora Dosh app

Stacking Opportunity 1: 16% Cashback + 9x Membership Rewards At Sephora.com

Step 1 – Amex Offer

There’s a targeted Sephora Amex Offer that’s only available on cards earning Membership Rewards. It offers a bonus 8 Membership Rewards per dollar for a total of 9 Membership Rewards per dollar. That bonus is good on up to $125 of spend as there’s a limit of 1,000 bonus Membership Rewards.

Step 2 – Dosh App

For a limited time (they haven’t specified how long), the Dosh app is offering 8% cashback for Sephora purchases. I’d assumed it would be for in-store purchases only, but it shows up on the Online tab as well. As Nick recently wrote about, you no longer need to click through from the Dosh app for online partners, meaning you can stack with cashback portals.

To complete this step, you’ll need to ensure you’ve linked the card with the Sephora Amex Offer to your Dosh account, but don’t click through from Dosh.

If you haven’t used the Dosh app before, here’s my referral link. I get $5 if you sign up and link a card and you get $5 as well.

Step 3 – Cashback Portal

The third step is to click through from a cashback portal. Ebates currently has the highest rate at 8% cashback, but some airline portals are offering 5 miles per dollar and Chase is offering 5 Ultimate Rewards per dollar. Check Cashback Monitor to see all your options.

Stacking Opportunity 2: 26% Cashback At Sephora.com

Step 1 – Chase Offer

Instead of paying with an Amex card with the 9x offer loaded, there’s a targeted Sephora Chase Offer for 10% cashback on up to $100 of spend. Once again, make sure that Chase card is linked to the Dosh app.

Step 2 – Dosh App

Same as above for 8% cashback.

Step 3 – Cashback Portal

Same as above for 8% cashback.

Step 1 – Amex Offer

Step 2 – Dosh App

Step 3 – Ebates

Ebates offers 4% cashback in-store at Sephora. While not as good as the online rate, it’s still a good option if you’re someone that likes to shop in-store or if you need an item immediately. Just be sure to link your card to the Ebates in-store cashback program first.

Stacking Opportunity 4: 22% Cashback In-Store At Sephora

Step 1 – Chase Offer

Step 2 – Dosh App

See first stacking opportunity for 8% cashback.

Step 3 – Ebates

See third stacking opportunity for 4% cashback.

Possible Discounted Gift Card Play

Sephora eGift cards are processed by CashStar, so buying those wouldn’t trigger these stacking opportunities. However, it should be possible to earn up to 18% cashback when buying physical gift cards either in-store or online with the Chase and Dosh offers as neither exclude gift card purchases. Alternatively, you could earn 8% cashback and 9x Membership Rewards with the Amex and Dosh offers.

Gift card purchases are excluded for Ebates in-store cashback. It’s still worth linking your card if buying gift cards in-store, but that 4% cashback could get clawed back or not awarded at all. If ordering physical gift cards online, click through from a portal just in case that tracks.

Other Stacking Opportunities

Are there any other card-linked programs or other options for stacking these deals even more that aren’t run on the same system as Dosh? Let us know in the comments below.
