Shangri-La Circle launched a new promotion in their app yesterday. It’s sadly now too late to have a chance to win the top prize (a year of complimentary breakfast buffets), but there are still free points on offer as well as the opportunity to win other prizes every day leading up to Christmas.
The Deal
- Earn 50 bonus points for every 6 consecutive days you sign in to the Shangri-La Circle app and check the Advent calendar to try to win prizes each day.

Key Terms
- The Online Advent Calendar activity (“Online Advent Calendar”) starts at 00:00 (GMT +14) on 1 December 2022 and ends at 23:59 (GMT -12) on 24 December 2022. Within the aforesaid period, the calendar will be refreshed for each participant at 00:00 (participants’ device time zone) every day.
- How to participate
- Step 1: Download Shangri-La Mobile App
- Step 2: Tap on the banner of “Enchanted Wonders” Online Advent Calendar
- Step 3: Check in the calendar each day and stand a chance to unlock a mini-prize pursuant to Clause 4 below
- Step 4: Check in the calendar on any 6 consecutive days to receive a fairy treat (50 Shangri-La Circle Points, each participant can receive at most 200 Shangri-La Circle Points from fairy treat)
- Step 5: Check in the calendar 24 consecutive days to receive a nutcracker treat (100 Shangri-La Circle Points)
- There are multiple mini-prizes with limited quantity to be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis for participation in the Online Advent Calendar. Participants will have a chance to unlock and win one mini-prize each day by checking in to the Online Advent Calendar. The categories of mini-prizes which may be won consist of the following:
- Shangri-La Circle Points; or
- Dining or discount voucher,
- and the same mini-prize will be awarded to all winners for that day on a first-come-first-serve basis. There will also be certain days where no mini-prizes will be awarded for the day.
Quick Thoughts
There’s a second element to this promotion that gives the chance to win complimentary breakfast buffets for a year at Shangri-La properties, but you have to log in every day from December 1-24 to be eligible for the next stage of that offer and, with it now being December 2, it’s too late to be eligible unless you happened to use the Shangri-La app on December 1 too.
It also means that the maximum number of free points you can earn from this promotion is now 150 as you’re now only be able to log in for a maximum of three sets of six consecutive days before December 24. While that’s not a huge number of points, it might still be worthwhile if you anticipate staying at any Shangri-La properties in the near future in case you win one of the dining or discount vouchers that are on offer most days this month.
I’m not very familiar with Shangri-La beyond a one night stay at their hotel in Singapore during 3 Cards, 3 Continents. Despite that, I’ve set a reminder to open their app every day because we have another one night stay at a Shangri-La property booked for next month via Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts. It’ll be both my wife and I staying there this time, so it’d be nice to get a dining voucher to save on a meal which means our $100 property credit will be able to stretch even further. If I don’t win anything, it’s only 15 seconds I’ll have wasted each day.
