Quick Thoughts

American Express had a similar Amex Offer for Sonesta giving $50 back on $250+ of spend that came out last fall, so it’s good to see it make a return.

My wife and I experienced our first stay at a Sonesta property last year when we stayed at the Sonesta ES Suites Tucson, AZ. That was a former Residence Inn property and it was a decent enough stay. We booked it via Hotels.com to earn their Rewards, but if this Amex Offer had been available we’d have likely booked it directly to save the $50 instead (or $100 if we’d split the payment on two cards with this Amex Offer attached to them).

It looks like all of Sonesta’s brands in the US and US territories are eligible, not just the main Sonesta brand itself. For example, the location shown on the Amex Offer screenshot above is for the Sonesta Simply Suites Hampton, VA which, judging by the photo of it on Google, looks like it was previously a Candlewood Suites.
