Staples keep charging sales tax on these gift cards.
You can do the instant chat thing that hovers over the screen and ask them to remove the sales tax. It shouldn’t be charged but sometimes Staples.com messes up.

Yes. At least I can confirm that Carterra portals still payout for e-gift cards from Staples. This was a surprise to me.
