Quick Thoughts

Based on Doctor of Credit’s post about this offer, it looks like this promotion launched at the end of last month. They might be rolling out the offer to additional cardholders though because Greg received an email about it yesterday.

It seems to be highly targeted because he could only activate it on one of his Freedom cards. I’ve also tried registering all my Chase cards and those of my wife but none of them seem to be eligible.

If you’re one of the lucky people who’s been targeted, 5% or 5x (depending on the card) can be a great offer, particularly for insurance payments that aren’t typically eligible for bonused spend.

My offer was different as well – 4,500 points after paying SIX bills.

US Bank Cash Plus Visa = 5% back on Utilities all the time.

Perhaps you are thinking of the US Bank Cash+?

Looks like my offer is different, it is 1,500 points for paying two bills, not 5x.

How can you earn your 1,500 bonus points?
Earn 1,500 bonus points in combined purchases when you pay two select bills like Utilities, Insurance, Phone Service, Cable, Internet with your [variable: Chase Sapphire Reserve/Chase Sapphire Preferred] card between July 1 – September 30, 2020

Husband also got this same offer. Less spend, but fewer points. But we would not have $2K spend in those categories anyway.

Me too, for the CSR. Now I wonder what will qualify for some of these things? Hulu? Google Storage? Any medical bill?

Jimm

Same offer here…
