Marriott is rolling out targeted individual promotions to many customers. II not receive an email about this, but I did find a personalized promotion in my Marriott account (both in the app and online). Some people are reporting double elite qualifying nights. Unfortunately, I am not one of those people — my offer is for 9,000 bonus points after 3 paid stays. This would stack with the current promotion for 1500 bonus points on stays of 2 nights or longer, but it’s probably not enough to make a difference in how I book.
The Deal
- Targeted Marriott promotions being rolled out to members in their online account / Marriott Bonvoy app
Key Terms
- Earning period starts the day after registration on my offer (so be sure to register before you need to earn)
- These promos stack with the current quarter’s Endless Earning promo
- My offer is valid through 9/30/19 and I believe other targeted offers likely have the same end date
Quick Thoughts
These targeted promotions are in addition to and stacking with this quarter’s promotion. Had I gotten double elite nights though September 30th, that probably would have been a game-changer for me since I’m hopeful that I’ll hit 75 nights this year and that likely would have sealed the deal.
Unfortunately for me, I got an offer for 9K points after 3 paid stays (award stays don’t count for my offer), structured as follows:
-Get 1,500 bonus points after one stay
-Get 3,000 additional points after your second stay
-Get 4,500 more points after your third stay.
My offer indicated that only paid stays count. I like my Marriott points and all, and I’ve generally been getting north of 1c per point with them this year, but I still probably won’t go after this unless it just happens to fall into place.

on a related topic I just received an email invite for a spend bonus on the Chase Bonvoy/Marriott card. I think it’s Boundless (the one with the 35K free cert attached). Details:

I suppose if you hit the 10K threshold, you are approximating the standard bonus spend on the old SPG card; so this sounds similar (worse?) than their last promo back in Feb with the 25K thresholds (if memory serves)

WOW, THANK YOU! I got double elite night credit. I am Titanium now and was Ambassador last year. This takes a ton of stress off. Currently at 36 nights and wasn’t sure how I was going to get to 75. BTW no email, nothing ONLY on my promotions page. Also got a $50 GC via email last month.
