There must have been a glitch last night on the website as hotels were showing at very low redemption rates. I had not explored Preferred Hotels much and thought these were great values. Sadly, I transferred this am before once again checking the website, Hotels showing at 30K per night redemption last night are 150k this AM. Rookie mistake I should not have made. Should have verified this am before transfering Even at 1 to 4 Citi points transfer it is not a value where I am looking to stay.
good discussion. I would also add for Citi points I highly prioritize saving them for AA/EVA as well because those are both 2 very, very valuable programs to me with no other 1:1 partners for either
Nick, meet a unicorn. LHW tends to have the quality of hotels I seek in locations I go to regularly.
I’ve stayed in one and have my eye on a couple others. Quality was really good. I agree that they aren’t always a fit (especially for family travel), but program benefits seemed to be pretty solid in my limited experience.
