Escape Lounges announced this week that they have added two new lounges: one at T.F. Green Airport (PVD – Providence, RI) and another at Ontario International Airport (ONT – Ontario, California). This is good news for Amex Platinum cardholders (including both personal and Business Platinum cardholders), who get access for the cardholder plus two guests. Escape Lounges in general are quite nice and feature better food and drinks than many domestic lounges, so if you’ve got a Platinum card and plan to travel through one of these airports, you’ll want to check these out.

I recently traveled through Oakland International Airport (OAK), which has an Escape Lounge. I actually almost forgot that they have one — I was glad I saw a sign for it as I was about to head to a restaurant to buy a bite during my layover — I was thankful that the Escape Lounge saved me a few bucks as I knew the food there would be as good or better than what I intended to buy. The lounge was quite nice and had a decent breakfast spread, including coddled eggs with queso, an assortment of pastries, meats & cheeses, hummus and olives, cereal, etc. They also have a full bar, with complimentary beer / wine / liquor selections (and also some available for sale). Here are some pics from my trip to the Oakland Escape Lounge just the other day.

I’ve also visited the MSP Escape Lounge a few times and been impressed by its food and beverage offerings.

If you’ll be traveling to or from PVD or ONT airports, don’t forget your Platinum card so you can access these lounges.

How about priority pass access?

Andrew

Glad to see the PVD location added. I travel there for work about 10-12 times a year and delays seem common.

The Providence one is cute. Note that you do need a physical card (Apple Pay Amex Platinum won’t work). Food and service were great.
