Update: Lukas has mentioned in the comments below that this is a targeted promotion. I’ve been seeing the ad which I embedded in the post on TV for the last few days, so I’d assumed these were some rare Uber Eats promo codes which were available to everyone. It therefore seems like Uber Eats might be using targeting, most likely via your home/delivery address rather than at account level per se.
~
Uber Eats is currently offering $10 off when using promo code TOMAHTO or TOMAYTO, but you’ll need to be quick as this offer ends tonight (September 27).
The Deal
- Save $10 on your Uber Eats order when using promo code TOMAHTO or TOMAYTO.
Key Terms
- Expires September 27, 2020.
- Limit 1.
Quick Thoughts
Uber Eats is offering two different codes for this promotion as they ostensibly want you to choose the correct pronunciation for tomato. Seeing as I’m a Brit, the answer is quite clearly TOMAHTO. If that doesn’t convince you, perhaps Patrick Stewart can.
This offer ends tonight (September 27), so there’s not long left to use it. Although there are two promo codes available, I think you’re only able to use one of the codes, so choose wisely (cough*TOMAHTO*cough).
If you’ve never used Uber Eats before, you can click through from a shopping portal to earn a bonus. TopCashback appears to be the highest at $7, but you can check all your options on Cashback Monitor. An alternative to traditional shopping portals is going via the Dosh app as they offer 12% cashback on your first order, but you’d need to spend more than $58 to make that worth choosing over $7 cashback from TopCashback.
For returning customers though, Dosh is a great option. That’s because they offer 5% cashback when tapping through to the Uber Eats app and paying with a Dosh-linked card. I’m not aware of any other portals or apps that offer cashback for existing Uber Eats customers, but let us know in the comments below if there’s something I’m missing.
If you have a personal Amex Platinum card of some variety, you also have a $15 monthly Uber benefit. That can also be used on Uber Eats orders, so that’s $25 worth of food you can get by combining that benefit with one of these two promo codes.
There are also some other Uber Eats promo codes which you can find here. They’re targeted, but could potentially save you more than $10 depending on how much you’ll be spending.
Also wanted to add that you are able to use both codes. I did so today. I was targeted and received the email on Thursday.
“I think you’re only able to use one of the codes”
It appears you can in fact use both.
Also, not targeted by address because I got it and wife didn’t. And first thing I tried was to add the other code and both do work
Targeted
Interesting – I didn’t realize that. I’ve been seeing ads for it on TV for the last few days, so I assumed it was available to all, but perhaps it’s just regional rather than it being targeted on specific accounts per se. I’ll update the post.
