amex bluebird offer

American Express is sending out a targeted offer to Bluebird cardholders offering a $1 credit for purchases at a new merchant for the months of April, May & June.

The maximum that can be earned per month in credits is $50 and you can earn $1 from each merchant for all three months.

Here are the details of the email according to Slickdeals:

1) Use your Bluebird Card virtually anywhere American Express® Cards are accepted.
2) Get a $1 account credit the first time you spend at a merchant each month.
3) Keep using Bluebird at different merchants and get up to $50 in account credit each month in April, May, and June.

SMART TIP: USE BLUEBIRD AND WATCH YOUR ACCOUNT CREDITS GROW

+$1 Grab your morning coffee +$1 Buy a slice of pizza +$1 Fill up your car with gas +$1 Pick up groceries for dinner +$1 Go to a movie = $5 Account credits

Just make sure every place has a different name—that’s how you can tell if your purchase qualifies for a $1 back!

Receive a $1 account credit to your Bluebird Account for each eligible purchase or payment using your Bluebird Card that appears on your Bluebird Account statement and is made between April 1, 2015 through June 30, 2015. Limit of fifty dollars ($50) in total account credits per calendar month during the offer period. (Up to $1 in account credits per merchant per month, for a total of up to $3 per merchant during the offer period). If you do not reach the monthly account credit limit of fifty dollars ($50) in a given calendar month, you will not be eligible for more than fifty dollars ($50) in account credits the following month. ATM, Pay Bills, Send Money, Bluebird Check transactions, and transfers to linked bank accounts, Sub-Accounts or SetAside Accounts are not eligible purchases or payments for purposes of the offer. Merchants are responsible for submitting transaction information to us, and if American Express does not receive information from the merchant that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive any account credit. Purchase transactions may fall outside of the month in which you made the purchase if there is a delay in the merchant submitting the transaction information to us. Account credit will normally be applied to your Bluebird Account promptly after your eligible purchase or payment transaction clears, but could take up to thirty (30) days. Account credit may be reversed if a qualifying transaction is reversed or cancelled. Offer expires June 30, 2015, and is subject to change or cancellation at any time.

Generally targeted offers for Amex Bluebird are automatically loaded to your card and it appears there is no way to register for the promotion if you weren’t targeted.

I didn’t get an email about this but $1 credits are showing up in my transactions. So far, two different Walmart stores – a neighborhood market and a superstore.
