There’s a new Wyndham Amex Offer out which can save you up to 20% on stays. Be sure to check the terms though as it’s valid at fewer than 1/3 of their different brands.

- Qualifying purchase means a purchase at a participating Wyndham Hotels & Resorts – Luxury Destinations property made during the offer period with your enrolled American Express Card and which is in an amount totaling at least $300 USD as posted to your account, following conversion from a foreign currency, if applicable, in accordance with your Cardmember Agreement.

Quick Thoughts
This Wyndham Amex Offer has been set up like it’s a Best Western promotion. That’s because it sounds good on the surface, but there are various exclusions or quirks which mean it’s nowhere near as good of an offer as it initially appears.
For starters, it’s only valid at 7 of Wyndham’s 23 different hotel brands. It’s then only valid at properties in the Americas (or seemingly most of the Americas) rather than worldwide.
It gets even better more restrictive though. There’s a list of almost 50 properties which are part of the seven eligible brands and are in eligible countries, but which aren’t participating in this Amex Offer for whatever reason. Given the rest of the terms of the offer state that it’s valid on stays at, say, the Wyndham brand in the US, it’d be fair to think that a stay at the Wyndham Anaheim or Wyndham Chicago McCormick would be eligible for this Amex Offer, but nope. If the stars do align though and you happen to be staying at an eligible property, it’s nice that this Amex Offer can save you up to 20% on your stay.
