(EXPIRED) Wyndham: Earn $25 Gift Card When Staying 2+ Nights (Earn Twice, Stack With Other Offers)

Update 12/26/21: Wyndham error in your favor – collect $200 $25 gift card.

The terms of this Wyndham promotion explicitly state that “stays booked in whole or in part with Wyndham Rewards points will not qualify for this Holiday Gift Card Deal.” However, my wife and I had a two night stay at a La Quinta last week using points and I received an email from Wyndham yesterday letting me know that I could claim my $25 gift card, so I did that last night.

I can’t guarantee that all award stays will earn a $25 gift card though. When checking out, the receipt we received made it look like we’d booked a revenue stay rather than redeeming points, but we were never charged anything. It might be that there was something in how the hotel processed our stay that made it seem like it wasn’t an award stay which resulted in us earning the gift card. No matter what the reason, if you have an upcoming Wyndham award stay of 2+ nights during the promotion period, it’s worth registering for this promotion just in case.

Wyndham has launched yet another new promotion which isn’t too rewarding in and of itself, but stacks nicely with their other promotions to make for a very rewarding stay.

The Deal

• Subject to these Offer Terms, Wyndham Rewards Members who reside in the United States (“Qualifying Members ”) can receive a $25 Gift Card (“ Holiday Gift Card Deal”) when they: (i) register for the Holiday Gift Card Deal by completing the registration process on wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards, wyndhamhotels.com or any of the official brand websites of any participating Hotel Chain, or through the “My Promotions” section of his/her/their Wyndham Rewards Member account on wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards or the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts App, in each case, between November 22, 2021 and December 31, 2021; then (ii) after registering but prior to January 1, 2022, book a stay of at least 2 consecutive nights at any Wyndham Rewards hotel on any Direct Booking Channel (as defined below), and complete such stay by January 18, 2022 (any stay that satisfies all requirements set forth above, an “Offer Qualifying Stay”).

• Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, stays booked in whole or in part with Wyndham Rewards points will not qualify for this Holiday Gift Card Deal.
• As more particularly set forth below, each Qualifying Member who completes an Offer Qualifying Stay will have the opportunity to claim a US $25 Amazon® Gift Card, a US $25 Shell Gas Gift Card or a US$25 BP Gas Gift Card (each, a “Gift Card”). Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, (x) only the first two (2) stays booked and consumed by a Qualifying Member in accordance with these Offer Terms will be deemed Offer Qualifying Stays; and (b) there is a maximum of one (1) Gift Card per Offer Qualifying Stay, and two (2) Gift Cards in total per Qualifying Member pursuant to this Holiday Gift Card Deal, even if more than two (2) stays are booked and completed by such Member in accordance with these Offer Terms.
• Gift Card claim instructions will be emailed to the email address associated with a Qualifying Member’s reservation information within two (2) to four (4) weeks after completion of his/her/their Offer Qualifying Stay. Quick Thoughts

Getting a $25 Amazon, Shell or BP gift card where you have to wait 2-4 weeks after your stay to receive an email to claim it and then wait another 2-4 weeks for it to arrive by mail isn’t the most enticing of hotel promotions that’s ever been run.

The good thing about it is that Wyndham is running a couple of other promotions right now that’ll stack with this. You can earn 10,000 bonus points when staying two nights and another 7,500 bonus points when staying four nights. Seeing as you can earn a $25 gift card on up to two stays, the best way to maximize these three promotions would be to book two stays of two nights each. You’d then earn $50 in gift cards and 17,500 bonus points on top of the minimum 2,000 Wyndham Rewards points you’d earn for the stays in the first place.

Having said that, the sweet spot could just be to book a two night stay somewhere. You’d then earn a $25 gift card and 10,000 bonus points without needing to book a separate two night stay in order to earn an additional 7,500 bonus points and the second $25 gift card.
