(EXPIRED) Wyndham Promo: Cardholders Earn 5x On All Stays Through 2/28/23 (Book By 12/9/22)

Wyndham Rewards has launched a new promotion offering 5x points on all stays through the end of February 2023, but there’s a catch – you have to be a credit cardholder to earn the bonus points.

The Deal

Key Terms

• Capitalized terms used without definition in these offer terms and conditions (“Offer Terms”) will have the meanings ascribed to them in the Wyndham Rewards program terms and conditions, available at www.WyndhamHotels.com/wyndham-rewards/terms (the “Program Terms”). To qualify for this bonus points offer (“Offer”), a Wyndham Rewards Member must:
  • (i)  be a primary Wyndham Rewards Visa Cardmember and receive an email invitation from Wyndham Rewards specific to the Offer (any such Member, hereinafter, an “Eligible Cardmember”); then
  • (ii)  register for the Offer via the click through process above, by calling Member Services at the applicable number found here, completing the registration process on wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards, wyndhamhotels.com or any of the official brand websites of any participating Hotel Chain, or through the “My Promotions” section of his/her/their Wyndham Rewards Member account on wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards or the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts App, in each case, between November 28, 2022 and December 9, 2022; then
  • (iii) after registering, between November 28, 2022 and December 9, 2022, book a Qualified Stay at any Wyndham Rewards hotel on any Direct Booking Channel (as defined below), and complete such stay by February 28, 2023 (the requirements set forth in this clause (ii), collectively, the “Booking & Stay Requirements”).
• For purposes of these Offer Terms, “Direct Booking Channel” means:
  • (a) www.wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards, wyndhamhotels.com or any of the official brand websites of the Hotel Chains;
  • (b) the official toll free reservation number of Wyndham Rewards or any of the Hotel Chains;
  • (c) onsite at a participating hotel, directly with such property; or
  • (d) on the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts App.
• An Eligible Cardmember who books and completes a Qualified Stay in accordance with the Booking & Stay Requirements, will receive 5X the amount of Base Points such Member would have earned for such stay, absent this Offer, pursuant to the Program Terms (the additional points earned by an Eligible Cardmember pursuant to the foregoing, a “Bonus”). Stays at Participating Caesars Rewards Properties (with the exception of those Caesars properties that are members of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham), vacation club resorts and vacation rentals are not eligible for this Offer. Go Free and Go Fast award stays are also not eligible for this Offer.
• For example, a Qualified Stay of three (3) consecutive nights that is booked and completed by an Eligible Cardmember in accordance with the Booking & Stay Requirements that would, under the Program Terms, earn 3,000 Base Points would, pursuant to this Offer, earn a total of 15,000 points (5 X 3,000), with 3,000 of such points denominated as Base Points and 12,000 of such points denominated as the Bonus).
• An Eligible Cardmember will not receive any Bonus for a no-show. Qualified Stays are subject to certain restrictions and do not include third party online bookings; see the Program Terms for more information about Qualified Stays.  Bonuses will usually be posted to an eligible Cardmember’s account within two to four weeks following the completion of the applicable stay. For clarity, any stay that (a) is booked or consumed (in whole or in part) prior to receipt of the email invitation, (b) begins before November 28, 2022 and/or (c) ends after February 28, 2023, will not be counted towards this Offer. Members who have elected to earn airline miles in their Member profile will earn base miles in accordance with the Program Terms and each Bonus in the form of points.
• This Offer may not be combined with any other points accelerator, enhancement or multiplier offers. Wyndham Rewards, Inc. may cancel or modify this Offer without notice. Except as specifically modified herein, this Offer is subject to full Program Terms in addition to these Offer Terms, and is void where prohibited.

Quick Thoughts

Wyndham ordinarily offers 10 points per dollar on paid stays, so this promotion for cardholders means that they’ll earn a total of 50 points per dollar which is a great return. As a result, spending $300 before taxes and fees will earn 15,000 points which is enough for 1 or 2 free nights at most of their properties, as well as a free night at a one bedroom place booked through their partnership with Vacasa.

If you’re not a Wyndham cardholder, that doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t get rewarded for paid stays. That’s because there’s a separate promotion giving 3x points on stays of 2+ nights. If you’re a Wyndham cardholder, it’s worth registering for both offers just in case they’ve not set up the promotions correctly and you earn 7x or 8x, although the terms do specifically state the 5x offer won’t stack with other promotions.

Note that even though this offer is valid on all stays through the end of February, you have to book the stays by December 9.
