Segment seems to assume the 80% sale is a given, but in my experience (me + P2) and the many comments I’ve seen, most people aren’t getting the good deal. It’s a bit infuriating that Wyndham plays games like this, but they aren’t getting me – I’m not buying a point at more than 0.72 cents! Happy to wait, they had the same pricing in December and I was targeted then, sure at some point this year they’ll offer it again.

Hi Nick,
Mind sharing more details on the All Inclusive you booked. We just got back from Playa del Carmen and I’m looking for next year. What costs did you incur for the kids? Wyndham site says points bookings are for 2 people and there is a charge for additional guests. For reference, I was looking @ Grand Palladium, 30,000/night.

Thanks

Drennon

Great deal for anybody targeted. Really not hard to find extremely outsized value with wyndham. Their all inclusives provide amazing outsized value. We stayed in Baku last year for like $0.04/point in a villa for only 7500 points/night.

Dima

Was that through Vacasa?

drennon

No it was through Wyndham directly. There are many Wyndham’s (especially outside of the USA) that give outsized value. Wyndham Bogota, Wyndham Iguazu falls (Brazil), most of their all-inclusive all come to mind as being cheaper to book via points aside from cash. I’ve never used Vacasa and find great outsized value from Wyndham.

Will we getting in depth coverage of the United changes this weekend? 🙂

I’m diamond and only got 50+10 so a hard pass for me. would have taken it at the 70+10

Larry

I’m Diamond and only seeing 60% + 10% for a total of 70%. Very disappointed

Dima

Those bonuses are up to the % Greg and Nick have mentioned. I am a Platinum and was offered 60% + 10% extra for the status. I imagine some people are seeing 70% + 10% for the status, making it 80%.
