There is a new Amex Offer out today that’s good for 10% back at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in the US and US territories up to $75 back. Since it’s good through the end of 2021, there should be plenty of time for Hyatt fans to take full advantage.
The Deal
- A new Amex Offer is out that’s good for 10% back at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in the US and US territories, up to $75 back. This offer is available on business cards.
Key Terms
- Expires 12/31/21
- Only valid at properties in the US and US territories
- Not valid at MGM, SLH, or Hyatt Residence Club properties
- Excludes gift card purchases
Quick Thoughts
This one is definitely worth syncing up if you anticipate any paid Hyatt stays this year. I only saw this offer on business cards, but that probably isn’t a deal-breaker. Note the exclusion of MGM properties, SLH properties, Hyatt Residence Clubs and bookings made through Hyatt Travel. I’m not sure if that would exclude Hyatt Prive bookings, though I kind of doubt they would be excluded since the charges come from the hotel and I wouldn’t think Amex would see the difference in having booked it through Prive. Gift card purchases are also excluded as per the terms, though I believe they have worked to trigger offers in the past when purchased at the front desk so long as the front desk doesn’t do egift cards (which are actually charged by a different entity).
Will this count towards physical gift cards purchased at a hyatt hotel property?
If you buy it from the hotel’s front desk, yes.
This is so much less attractive than the previous offer of 20% back with max spend. Using the Chase Hyatt Credit card would yield a better return with their new bonus journey summer promo that should activate on 7/7.
You can still take part in the bonus journey summer promo and use an Amex card. Unlike some of the recent promos, holding a Hyatt card does not give you any special benefits in the summer promo.
You would not get 4x from the Hyatt card but you could get 2x membership rewards (BBP) and 10% off.
