Costco is currently offering 10% off on Delta Gift Cards in $500 and $1,000 denominations.
The Deal
- Costco is currently offering 10% off on Delta Gift Cards in the following denominations:
Key Terms
- Must be a Costco member
- Available “for a limited time” — possibly today only (11/21/19)
- The eGift card maybe only used toward the purchase of air transport on Delta Airlines-marketed flights, and may not be used for other purchases, such as baggage fees, in-flight purchases, seat upgrades or other ancillary products.
Quick Thoughts
Getting ten percent off on flights is always a popular deal when possible. Whether you’re planning an end of the year mileage run, trying to save on next year’s trips, or looking for a really nice gift, this seems like an excellent deal. I doubt it will last long.
Note that Delta only allows 3 gift cards per transaction online, but you may be able to use more over the phone with reservations (YMMV). Also note the restrictions on use (e.g. can’t be used towards baggage fees). I recall being unable to use an American Airlines gift card to cover award taxes in the past — be aware that these gift cards can likely only be used to purchase flights from Delta for travel on Delta-operated flights.

bought 3 1k cards, and they cancelled my order.
trying just 1 now
Any DP about USB AR and GC at Costco?
Would buy Costco Cash cards using S-pay in person then buy DL GC with Costco Cash cards – net 17% disc (2% EXE membership 4.5% with RTR ).
TIA
Nick, thank you for the update. I tried to pay the Admiral Club’s membership with a gift card and no-go. I thought it was a unique situation but now I know it maybe only good for flights. BTW, any good spots to get the Marriott GCs? I’ve never seen them in OM.
I never resold any gift cards but I do have Costco membership. Can anyone offer an opinion whether it’s a good time to try? Also, will I get 2% back on purchases of GCs if I upgrade my Costco membership to executive level?
Executive member here, and I’ve always gotten 2% back on my GC purchases done at the register. Can’t speak about online, never tried.
thanks, I think i’ll take a pass though. Checked Raise and they want 18% that’s nuts
There are like 175 Delta Gift cards at $500 or more for sale right now on raise. I can see why they wan’t that much. It’ll be fun to watch what happens with the price of those cards over the next month or 2, since that’s a bunch that they have to offload.
and ebay is a little better (seems like you can sell at 14% off) but that’s still a lot.. Buying Delta GCs for the purposes of reselling doesn’t appear to be worth it, unless of course you get awesome cashback from your method of payment.
bulk sellers pay a lot less, more like 6-9%
