Costco is once again offering a $100 inKind gift card for a discount, though this time around the price has dropped to $64.99. This could be a good deal if you have upcoming plans to dine at an inKind restaurant. You can also get 20% back on all food and beverage, though that doesn’t stack with gift cards.

Quick Thoughts
inKind has had a number of Amex Offers and other discounts over the past couple of years. I ignored it for a while, but then finally signed up and have enjoyed the couple of chances I’ve had to use it.
For those unaware, inKind is a payment app. Participating restaurants allow you to settle your restaurant tab within the app, eliminating the need to give your credit card to the server (and wait for them to return with it). I was skeptical as to how useful this would be, but I’ve used it several times now and found it easy to use and convenient to simply type the check number into the app and settle the bill without any wait time.
The drawback, of course, is that you’re limited to restaurants that accept inKind payments. They certainly aren’t everywhere, though the footprint seems to be growing. Nick used it at Chef José Andrés’s Jaleo DC and Michelin-starred Gramercy Tavern in New York City, and I’ve been able to use it at several well-regarded spots in Seattle.
If you have a Costco Executive membership, you’ll also earn 2% back on the purchase as that’s earned even on gift card purchases like these.

cant pay tip, doesnt stack with other promo :/
It’s showing unavailable online for email delivery.
Thanks for the heads up! Missed the sale last weekend which was just a day or two and am headed to NYC soon so these will go to good use.
Free money by email today for inKind. My link was for $15. Celebrating their 10th anniversary.
The key thing about inKind is that it is the best source of persistent restaurant discounts around. 20%+ everytime (except on the tip). It should always be choice one vs. Rewards Network (iDine), Seated and credit card point specials.
It says 1/26 to 2/22, in the past have they “run out” or stopped the promo early? I have plans for inKind but don’t want to buy more than I need.
gonna be eating good end of the year. $150 toast credit at some fancy downtown joint, plus a $100 to spend down via inkind. Thanks guys!
‘s actually from 12/10 through 12/24, not just one day.
Dallas is fairly good;
Las Vegas is great;
Nashville is fairly good;
In general, their search app. needs work;
In cities where it is available (and it seems to be just cities) cities is the best return on all restaurant spend. 20% base+deals like this (buy credit for 35% off).
Deal has been extended through 10/12
FYSA, this InKind purchase triggered my new MESA Costco annual fee reimbursement…guessing because the same price as a costco membership.
Very useful for those like me who signed up for the bonus recently but don’t have their Costco membership renew until next year.
That’s an awesome DP. I would have never thought of that.
I can confirm this. I got the Mesa card after I had already paid my Costco AF for the year so I was bummed that I wouldn’t get the credit this year… but I saw this comment and bought it and got the credit. Thanks Chris!
they’ve now added ordering in the app for some to-go restaurants/cafes. But be aware that some of those prices are inflated compared to actual in-store prices.
Question about inKind dining pass, which costs 9.99 a month, and with it you get a 50 off 150 monthly coupon. Does anyone know if you can use that 50 off 150 coupon with preexisting inKind balance that you bought from inKind gift cards?
Yes, you can. I’ve done it a few times.
thank you!
What other benefits does the pass have?
Is inKind doing okay? They were recently dropped by one of our semi-regular restaurants. And they aren’t accepted at our favorites, but I every time this deal gets better I check their website to see if it’s finally useful for me.
The way that inKind works is that they prepay a restaurant for some amount of credit, allowing the restaurant to have working capital and for inKind to offer their customers discounted dining.
It’s up to a restaurant as to whether or not they want to sell another batch of credit to them after the first round, or inKind may decide to to move on depending on how in-demand that restaurant was (and/or if it fleshed out a particular geographic area).
Because of that, some restaurants may decide to do it once for customer acquisition, then decline future rounds.
It doesn’t necessarily mean that inKind is doing better worse, or that they can or can’t pay their bills (since they prepay anyway, from my understanding).
