I always enjoy attending and speaking at FTU (Frequent Traveler University), but I’m particularly excited about the next one: FTU Advanced Minneapolis (June 9 – 11 2017). This one will be different, in a number of positive ways…
Why this FTU is different from all other FTUs
This is the first FTU ever where the schedule has been organized by Stefan Krasowski AKA Rapid Travel Chai. Stefan is a great guy with an unbelievable wealth of travel knowledge. And, Minneapolis is his home town. I’m betting that he’s going to make this one special.
This will be the first ever Delta hub FTU. Delta has been largely ignored or lambasted by the miles & points community for years. True, it can be difficult to get good value from Delta SkyMiles’ miles, but in my opinion their elite program is very good. More importantly, unless you sometimes need to pee before takeoff, Delta is one of the best domestic airlines to actually fly (that’s important, isn’t it?). And, since I’ve been a hub captive for years (I live near the Detroit hub), I have tons of Delta tips and tricks to share, including some that I’ve never shared before.
Excellent keynote speakers. Stefan has lined up television personality Rudy Maxa of Rudy Maxa’s World, and expert photographer Gary Arndt of Everything Everywhere. While I haven’t heard either speak in the past, I’m expecting very good things.
$20 Discount
I don’t have any financial incentive to encourage people to come to these events, but I love meeting with readers so I do want you to come. As an incentive for you, FTU organizers have setup a $20 off code for my readers. Register with code FMMSP for $20 off.
The un-discounted prices are $249 for the weekend, or $149 for Saturday only. This code brings prices down to $229 and $129, respectively.

[…] and I had a great time meeting points & miles enthusiasts and presenting at FTU (Frequent Traveler University) Minneapolis a couple of weeks ago. Personally I always love opportunities to meet others in this game. […]

I want to learn how to eat a lot in many countries and become fat. So Rudy Maxa’s lecture alone will be worth the trip. j/k
Already have my ticket, any way I can still use the $20 code???
Thanks!
I don’t think so, but you can try contacting FTUniversity directly to see what they say.
Haven’t been to any but just from memory, this one seems to be on the expensive side, no?
FTU Advanced tends to be a bit more expensive than general session FTUs.
Wasn’t there an FTU in Atlanta a few years ago? I’d think that would have been the first Delta hub FTU. Anyway, I would have loved to go but I already have plans that weekend back home 🙁
Have a great time! I’ve met Stefan and the no mas coach guys and they’re awesome!
Haha, you’re right! I forgot about the Atlanta FTU. It was actually an extremely small FTU titled something like “FTU round table” maybe. Sorry you’ll miss this one.
Will there be a newbie seminar anytime??
Yes, I think there will be one in the fall, but I don’t know any details yet
This is in my hometown! But I am doing the MS150 that weekend and will have to miss it! I wish this was on some other dates! All the best and welcome to MSP!
Stay away from msp
I have my airline tickets but haven’t paid for the conference yet. Two Amex cards coming in the mail, approved yesterday. Think I can wait for them to come? Haha
Yes, I think it’s likely that tickets will still be available, but of course I can’t promise
