Yesterday, Membership Rewards began offering a 25% transfer bonus to JetBlue’s TrueBlue program. With this bonus, the transfer ration becomes 1:1. That’s still not a terrific deal, but could be worthwhile if you are just a bit short in a strategic redemption.
The Deal
- 25% more TrueBlue points when you transfer Membership Rewards (250:250)
Key Terms
- Valid through 11/30/17
- Must transfer in increments of 250
- For each conversion of points into the Frequent Flyer program of a U.S. airline, a fee of $0.0006 per point, with a maximum fee of $99, will be charged to your Card account.
Quick Thoughts
According to our Reasonable Redemption Values, you can generally expect to redeem Membership Rewards points at 1.82 cents per point – whereas JetBlue TrueBlue points are worth about 1.46 cents per point on average. That means this isn’t the best trade on the market, though it might make sense if you have to fly JetBlue and/or other awards aren’t possible/available or certainly if you’re on the cusp of an award ticket and need to top off your balance. We have added this one to our list of Current Transfer Bonuses.
