Among the new Amex Offers added to our Current Amex Offers database this morning, you’ll find a highly targeted offer for $60 back on $200 at Hyatt Regency.
The Offer
- Spend $200 or more at Hyatt Regency, get $60 back
Key Terms
- Expires 5/27/18
- Only valid at locations in the US and US Territories
- Must book direct with Hyatt
Quick Thoughts
This is a great deal if you have a paid Hyatt Regency stay coming up. Unfortunately, it’s highly targeted. While both Greg and Stephen found this offer today, it appeared on none of the Amex cards in my household. That said, even if you weren’t targeted, it’s worth keeping an eye out to see if it pops up on your cards at some point over the coming days as I’ve noticed this happening on more and more targeted offers lately.
The terms do not exclude prepaid rates, so I think you could trigger this offer even for a stay after the promo period if you were booking a prepaid rate. While the terms state that bookings must be made directly with Hyatt, my experience with other hotel offers has been that Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts bookings normally trigger Amex Offers (but those made at Amex Travel do not usually trigger Amex Offers). Remember that this one is only good at Hyatt Regency hotels and only in the US and US Territories.
As always, this offer has been added to our Current Amex Offers database, where you can always see the latest offers we’ve found on our cards. See our Complete Guide to Amex Offers for more on syncing offers.

If the room rate is 199.00 but taxes bring it above $200.00 would the offer be triggered or does the room rate (exclusive of taxes) have to be 200.00 or more? Do taxes count as room charges or would I have to buy a bottle of water to get the room charge over 200.00?
I received this on several cards, but I try not to pay actual cash for stays so not very valuable to me.
Also, you mentioned FHR hotel stays triggering offers, but which Hyatt Regency Hotels are actually in the Fine Hotels & Resorts

Would this work for room charges on an award stay?
