Delta has sent out targeted mail offers for a 60,000 SkyMiles welcome offer on the Delta Gold SkyMiles card from American Express. While the mailer and offer is targeted, the link appears to be accessible by anyone – so it’s easy to check if you’re targeted.
The Offer
- Get 60,000 Delta SkyMiles after making $1,000 in eligible purchases in the first 3 months
- Direct link to see if you’re targeted
Key Card Details
- Earning rate: 2X Delta, 1X everywhere else
- Noteworthy Perks: Priority boarding and free checked bags.
- $95 annual fee is waived the first year
Quick Thoughts
The mailer indicates that you should go to Delta.com/Gold60K. When you go to that page, it prompts you to enter your SkyMiles number and last name to view your targeted offer.
If you don’t qualify for an offer, it gives you an error asking you to verify your information and try again. If you are not eligible for this targeted offer, you may still be able to get a referral link from a friend who currently has the card (though the current referral offer has a higher minimum spend requirement). Head over to our Frequent Miler Insiders Facebook group and find the Delta SkyMiles referral thread to find or share a link. Comments on this post with links will get caught in our spam filter and will not post, so if you’d like to share your link head over there and be sure to read and follow the directions for posting.
If you qualify for the targeted offer above, it’s a nice haul of SkyMiles for very little spend, though keep in mind that you will not qualify for a welcome bonus if you have or have had this product before.
My 18 year old daughter received this offer which is interesting as she only has AU cards from me right now (Citi Double Cash and Amex EDP). As she does fly Delta to/from college and would get some use out of the miles, I’m wondering if it might not be a bad idea for her to sign up and help her credit score. Not sure if it’s one to hold though because of the second year AF. Thoughts?
There was another mailed in January without lifetime terms. Bonus miles never posted and I have case opened since March 3rd with no resolution. Now my wife got this new one, so not sure if its worth applying.
I have never owned an American Express Card. Is there a way to get my name on a list to receive these kind of offers?

How long would you have to wait in between canceling and applying for the same card, assuming you can find one of the no-lifetime language offers?
My mailer had a different link: delta.com/60k
yes its 60k miles and delta miles do not expire
so did mine. and that link worked – not the one posted here
Yeah, no lifetime language on mine either. Hopefully I get the miles since I use to have this card but canceled it several years ago.
I’m still waiting on the bonus from last November. I’ve had it escalated I don’t know how many times, every time I’m told that there’s a large number of impacted accounts from that time period that they’re still sorting out. Nothing I can do right now, especially seeing as how the CFPB lost what little teeth it had remaining.
Suffice to say, I’m not going to touch this one!
I also received this. I could not find any once i lifetime bonus language in the mailer. 60k skypesos and $50 Delta credit for no AF and only $1k spend is pretty good, I’ll probably do it, but I’ll have to ditch one of my 5 Amex CCs first.
Interesting. I didn’t receive the mailer myself, nor did I qualify when I entered my SkyMiles number. I expected the lifetime language would be there — if it isn’t, that’s excellent.
My wife received the 60k/$1k mailer as well. I could not find any lifetime language.
Me too! Got mailer and no lifetime language. Can I safely assume that I can get the bonus again or even with the absence of lifetime language, it’s still YMMV?
Yeah, I got a mailer and applied earlier this year. Had the card previously. At first the miles didn’t post so I called in and got an investigation going. I had saved the mailer and sent in a scan of it. 3-4 weeks later I got the $50 credit (with interest) and about a week later the miles posted.
Currently waiting on rent payment day to collect 70k on the platinum offer as well.
