The Deal
- Round trip nonstop flights from Boston to Barcelona from just $263 on low-cost-carrier LEVEL
Key Details
- Available on select dates from November 2018 – February 2019

Quick Thoughts
These flights show up via Google Flights as being on Iberia, but they are really operated by LEVEL, Iberia’s low-cost-carrier. Still, at $263 round trip nonstop, it’s hard to be too upset with the lack of frills — and at this price, it gets hard to justify using the ~60K miles that most programs want for a one-way business class ticket if you can fly comfortably in economy class.
You’ll find these prices with a search on Google Flights and may need to book separate tickets for the best deal (which means this deal could even be great for a one-way, with flights to Europe around $150 and the return legs around $115).
As noted above, you will not get checked bags or seat selection — but if you do not need those things or you have one of a myriad of cards that come with annual credits for airline incidentals, European low-cost-carriers can be an easy way to use those credits.
While these low prices are available during winter, Barcelona enjoys a decent climate. I once spent about 3 weeks there in January and the most I wore was a light coat; we had no problem getting around on foot. It wasn’t beach weather, but it sure beat the weather at home in upstate New York at that time of year. I understand November can be pretty mild by Northern US standards.
