Quick Thoughts
As noted at the top, if you’re holding an Amex Gold card that now earns 4x at US Supermarkets (be sure to log in and check your benefits to be sure that applies for your card), this is a nice way to stack some savings while earning a nice return. That is, of course, assuming that an online order for store pick up qualifies — since I don’t live in an area with Kroger, I can’t confirm that (hopefully a reader can confirm that those purchases have coded as US Supermarkets).
While I don’t live in a Kroger area, I can vouch for the fact that ordering online for store pickup is a great convenience in general that I’ve found to be well worth the time savings. Saving an extra twenty bucks on top would be a no-brainer if I lived near Kroger and were eligible, extra rewards points or not. As this one is valid until 10/20, you have some time to wait for a sale on the things that you want/need.

This is only for your FIRST order. I read through your whole post and didn’t notice the picture is the only place it’s mentioned.
All my purchases at Kroger stores have been coded as supermarkets.
Awesome, thank you!
Another (odd) question: do you know if you get charged right away, or when you pick up? The reason I ask is because I’ll be in an area with Kroger where I could use some groceries a few days after this expires…
