There’s a new Amex Offer out this morning good for $25 back when you spend $100 or more at Staples. That’s great timing given yesterday’s new sale flyer. I only found this offer on business cards, but YMMV.

Quick Thoughts
This is a great offer to save as soon as possible in case it fills up early. With fee-free Visa Gift Cards at Staples next week, it should be very easy to use this offer. Note that the terms exclude gift cards in bulk purchases. Based on past experience, I think that term applies to buying gift cards for resale (like perhaps if you owned a store and wanted to buy many thousands in Staples gift cards to put on your gift card rack or something more of that nature). A couple thousand dollars in Visa Gift Cards has never constituted a “bulk” gift card purchase in my experience.
That said, proceed with caution if you are working on an Amex spending offer as they have been known to get touchy when people buy gift cards while working on a new card bonus.
Overall, it’s great to see a new offer like this out as it should be an easy win for most people.

Noticed the $25 off $100 offer states “Not valid for gift cards in bulk purchases.” What’s considered bulk? Possible to purchase $600 ($200 x 3) VGCs to get 5% back (standard office supply store cash back on SimplyCash Biz card) and trigger both $25 offers? Thanks!

What a great offer. We had it on our Marriott and Hilton business cards. Staples seems to have endless gift card options.
