Update: This promotion has ended early.
Costco.com is offering $50 back on $250+ when you pay with a Visa card and check out with Visa Checkout.
The Deal
- Get a $50 statement credit back on $250+ at Costco.com when you pay with a Visa card via Visa Checkout
- Direct link to this promotion
Key Terms
- Valid once per member
- Must check out with Visa Checkout and pay with a Visa card
- Not valid for orders at the online pharmacy, Costco Travel (Costcotravel.com), Costco Business Delivery (Costcobusinessdelivery.com), CostcoGrocery Same-Day powered by Instacart (sameday.costco.com) or the online Costco Photo Center (costcophotocenter.com)
- Expires 3/28/18, but may get pulled early
Quick Thoughts
This is a great deal for those who shop at Costco. The terms do not exclude gift cards, so a gift card order would work in addition to other regular purchases. Saving 20% on already-discounted items at Costco should be a deal on a wide range of items.
H/T: Doctor of Credit
Got email from costco today rejecting the $50 ‘promised’ offer. Anyone have a good ‘reconsideration’ argument?
We have been notified by Visa Checkout that your order did meet the eligibility requirements for the $50 statement credit. Due to the overwhelming response to this promotion, there has been a slight delay in processing the credits. We anticipate that you will be able to see your credit in your online statement no later than Thursday, May 31, 2018.
If you have additional questions, please reach out to Visa Checkout by phone at (855) 847-2032, visit Visa Checkout Support or contact us.
I purchased a good over $300. But I still don’t see any cash reward. Where can I check it?
My cash cards were shipped today and charge shows as pending, so clearly no credit yet. I placed my order right when this deal came out. Will update if credit shows.
I also purchased the Costco gc, so far no $50 credit .
Still nothing so far. Anyone get their credit yet?
Just got an e-mail indicating the $50 rebate should hit my statement by 5/31! Check your e-mails — they’re coming from Costco.
Will be getting my $50 credit even though I evidently ordered after the promotion ended early. Here’s part of my chat log at Costco.com:
Me: Dear Costco Team: I placed this order on March 26, during a promotion for $50 credit after spending $250 or more using Visa + Visa Checkout. I still haven’t received my credit and it’s been more than 8 weeks. Can you help?
Rep: I was able check and see that credit has not been issued by Visa Checkout. The promotion had been sold out at 03/26/18 at 4:44 PM and your order was at 7:40 PM.
And before I could respond…
Rep: I went ahead and issued a credit for $50 for you as a customer service credit to take care of this issue. I am sorry about issues with this.
Anyone get their credit yet?
I received an email from Costco that due to high demand cash cards will be mailed during the week of April 2nd. Will this invalidate the deal, because it’s only running till March 30th?
Probably depends on when it shows up on your credit card.
It will definitely show up later than March 28th
Deal is finished.
[…] Costco is offering a discount on iTunes Gift Cards which provides up to 17.5% off the face value. This should be stackable with the $50 back on $250 promo via Visa Checkout that we covered earlier (See: $50 back on $250 at Costco with Visa Checkout). […]

Keep getting errors trying to checkout…..
me too. select “visa pay” but get error message..
My operator error. I needed to click VISA checkout radio button but then also click “learn more” in order to input my login creds. Just the radio button and then “continue” gave error message.
3x and 5x opportunity of folks have linked Samsung Pay to the correct cards…..
What are your thoughts on a cash card purchase?
The terms don’t exclude it. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
Thanks. It just seemed a little too easy and it also looks like it could be a way to bypass some of the restrictions that were listed.
I bought 250 in cash cards. Worth the try. I will use them anyway.
