Quick Thoughts
This is a nice offer if you have it. Assuming you value Membership Rewards points around 1.5c each, this represents about a 25% return on spend. Of course, whether it’s worth that much (or less or more) depends on how you’ll use the points. There is likely a $50 statement credit version available as well for those who prefer cash, but you’ll have to check your account to see if you have either offer.
Keep in mind that this is only valid at properties in the US and US Territories. Readers often ask about gift card purchases: I expect that if you’re able to purchase a gift card at a qualifying property at the front desk (i.e. not in a gift shop), it’ll probably trigger the offer. However, I’ve never found a Hilton that carries them. We’ve had a couple of reports from readers who have found them, but it isn’t common. Furthermore, with Amex going clawback-happy in recent months, you may want to focus on seeing if you can find a qualifying use instead.

Got the $50 option on my Gold card. Really wish these would show up on my Hilton cards!
Nice, thank you – just added it onto my Amex EDP card. But offer is only valid at Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Curio and Canopy in the US & US territories.
Also, there is currently a 50% bonus offer for transferring 1,000 AMEX MR would get you 3,000 Hilton points.
