Office Depot and OfficeMax are once again offering a $15 instant discount when buying $300+ Visa gift cards in-store.
The Deal
- Spend $300+ on Visa gift cards at Office Depot/OfficeMax and get $15 off.
Key Terms
- Expires December 21, 2019.
- Limit 1 per household/business.
Quick Thoughts
Office Depot/OfficeMax run this deal pretty often, although it’s always nice to see it return. The $200 Visa gift cards come with a $6.95 activation fee, so you make $1.10 profit for every $400 of cards you buy. That’s before taking into account the 5x/5% earnings you can get by paying with a Chase Ink Plus (no longer available) or Ink Cash card.
There’s a limit of 1 per household/business, but it’s fairly easy getting around these limits by not providing your Office Depot Rewards number when checking out and by visiting different stores and/or on different days. Some cashiers will also let you buy multiple cards in separate transactions, but YMMV on that one.

Any news on this in 2020?
No, they don’t seem to have run a similar promotion yet this year – hopefully there’ll be one launched tomorrow.
Thanks!
$200 Visa gift cards are available fee free right now at Staples – good for churning.
This is better than the Staples deal because you can get 2 at a time at Office Depot, maybe even more if they will sell you more. Plus you save a dollar which will cover the cost of the money order.

This deal comes back so often, they don’t even let the INK dry.
It’s all good, just simplycash out instead.
Last time variables worked. Hope they do this time
