Back in March, I shared about some more Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) properties that Hilton had made bookable through its loyalty program. In the three months since then, Hilton has added another 21 SLH properties to the Hilton Honors program, while removing four. Here are more details about which hotels have been affected.

SLH properties no longer bookable via Hilton
The four hotels that can’t be booked via Hilton anymore are:
- Hotel Casa Lucia in Argentina
- Grand Hotel Parkers in Italy
- Hotel Eclat Taipei in Taiwan
- Hounds Tooth Inn in California, USA
That’s a little disappointing as it leaves only one SLH property in Argentina and three in Taiwan, although there are other Hilton properties in those countries.
21 new (to Hilton) SLH properties
The properties that have recently become bookable via Hilton are as follows. There are links to each property to make it easier to check them out.
- Antigua
- Austria
- Mainland China
- Cyprus
- France
- India
- Italy
- Japan
- Mexico
- Saudi Arabia
- Switzerland
- Thailand
- United Kingdom
- USA
With almost two dozen recently-added hotels, there are too many to highlight here. However, I did want to highlight a few that initially caught my eye.
Al Mashreq Boutique Hotel
Nearly all the properties listed above are in countries where there was already some kind of SLH presence. The exception is Al Mashreq Boutique Hotel in Saudi Arabia, as this is the first SLH property (bookable via Hilton) there.

This might be one better booked with cash than points though. On the dates I checked, room rates were just under $175 per night, whereas award redemptions were 57,000 points per night.
Wakax Hacienda – Cenote and Boutique Hotel
It’s not every day that your hotel has a couple of cenotes, but Wakax Hacienda – Cenote and Boutique Hotel in Tulum, Mexico does. Reviews online make the experience sound stellar.

This is another one where a cash stay might be better value than a points redemption. The dates I checked cost $250 per night versus 70,000 points per night.
Sant’Angelo Matera
If you’ve ever wanted to live that caveman or cavewoman life, Sant’Angelo Matera in Italy could be the place for you. A standard room award (85,000 points per night) books you in to a Cave with Patio room.

The Mansion at Ocean Edge
Four of the newly-added properties are in the US, with one of them – The Mansion at Ocean Edge – being located in Brewster, MA which is on Cape Cod. Standard award availability seems to be hard to come by, but a little flexibility might snag you a room for 100,000 points per night.
This could also be a good option for those traveling as a family. While many SLH properties have rooms that can only accommodate two people, the standard room at The Mansion at Ocean Edge is a Mansion Wing Deluxe – King with Sleep Sofa which can sleep four people.

L’Auberge de Sedona
Sedona, AZ is one of my favorite places in the US as it’s such a beautiful area with fantastic hiking trails. Despite that, there aren’t a ton of chain hotels there, so it’s great to have another option bookable with points.
Standard award redemptions come in at a high 140,000 Hilton Honors points per night, while the cash rate on the dates I checked were $950 per night. This would therefore be an excellent option if you want to get good value from a Hilton free night certificate.

eriro
If you enjoy mountain views, eriro in Austria might be the hotel for you. This is another property that might be best booked with a Hilton free night certificate seeing as it costs 150,000 points or $2,000+ per night.
The standard room bookable with points and free night certificates is a suite that has a King bed, a large tyrolean pine trough or bathtub, a cozy seating area, a daybed on the balcony, a book corner and more.

Tamarind Hills Resort and Villas
If you’d rather see the ocean rather than mountains on your vacation, you might prefer Tamarind Hills Resort and Villas in Antigua and Barbuda. This is another pricey resort, costing 120,000 points per night or $900+ in cash.
One thing that’s great about this property is that there are at least two different room types that can be booked for a standard number of points or with free night certificates. There’s a Tamarind Studio room, as well as an Ocean View Studio room.

The Moon Mansion
Last but not least, there’s a spectacular-looking hotel called The Moon Mansion which is in Tengchong, China (see the photo at the top of this post). Standard room award nights are bookable for 89,000 points per night; room rates can be less than $300 per night though, so booking with points isn’t a great option in that circumstance.
The standard room is a Panoramic Hot Spring Twin Room which features two double beds, has a balcony with a private hot spring tub, a complimentary minibar, views of the city and volcano, and more.

Question
Have any of these properties caught your eye too? Have you stayed at any of them before? Let us know in the comments below.

I also love A’uberge & especially its remote-feeling location. Fantastic restaurant, so the freebies with Diamond would be appeciated. No Hilton points deals, however, unless an eventual upgrade into one of their Cottages on Oak Creek becomes possible? Depends on how many levels that particular property would upgrade into , but that would definitely then be worth booking with 140,000.
We stayed at the Hotel Eclat in Taipei last spring. It was so nice. We booked it with Hilton points. As Diamond members, we did enjoy a free breakfast. Service was very good, staff were exceptional. Sad to see it is no longer bookable through Hilton.
they should add some more ski-in-out properties in Europe!
A big question is which properties allow four to a room. Asking for families.
I think all of the ones in Turks and Caicos can have 4. We just booked 3 nights at South Bank with our certs, usually 180,000 points per night or $1400 in a two bedroom.
